Background:
Brooke Weston City Technology College was founded in 1991. Brooke Weston CTC draws students from the areas of Corby and Kettering Borough Councils. Purpose-built on a green-field site, with sponsorship from major local industries, the building comprises of a series of linked two-storey blocks, each dedicated to a curriculum subject and each containing open-access study areas. Facilities include a large sports hall, science laboratories, a television studio and a large information centre. Outdoor amenities include all-weather and turf sports facilities. All college facilities are available to students throughout the holidays. The school aims to provide a stimulating learning environment, with a technological orientation across the whole curriculum, which maximises individual potential and ensures students of all ability levels are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, work and life.
