Background:

Blisworth Primary 'enjoys a very good reputation in the locality' and accepts a number of children from outside the catchment area. 'The school aims for children to be happy and encourages them to grow into responsible, considerate and independent young people.' Pupils may choose from a 'wide range' of extra-curricular activities and sporting success has recently been enjoyed by both boys and girls. The children raised money for the building of a primary school in India, which is a cause they continue to support. There is a special educational needs (SEN) co-ordinator who works with both children who need extra support and high achievers. Two classroom assistants are trained to carry out programmes under the direction of the SEN co-ordinator.
