Background:
Situated in rural village of Yelvertoft; welcomes children from neighbouring communities, including Lilbourne, Clay Coton, Elkington and Stanford; consists of original Victorian building, expanded with the growing community; set on edge of Yelvertoft village, with extensive playgrounds and large playing field. Four main classrooms, large hall, library and ICT suite. Outdoor covered area for foundation stage pupils in 2006; re-development of school house for ICT and group work. Each classroom has access to at least two computers to use across the curriculum daily. The school offers a range of extra-curricular clubs and activities, including recorders at different stages, woodwind and string ensembles, chess, gardening, football, netball, hockey, cross-country, and dance. Basic Skills Quality Mark (2006); Activemark Gold (2004).
