Background:
Amalgamated with Kettering High School in 1976, on whose site, built in 1964 the school now uses. The site has been extended with the addition of a technology centre and a music centre, while the exterior was completely refurbished in October 1993. 20 acres of playing fields include hockey pitches, basketball and tennis courts. Southfield sports teams frequently compete at regional, county and national levels. The school is over-subscribed with 50% more applications than places.
