Background:
Badby School founded in 1913, half of Badby School's pupils come from the small village where it is situated and the rest from surrounding villages and the nearby expanding town of Daventry, but is over-subscribed by 11 per cent. Accommodated in its original building with a 1970s extension of two classrooms, hall and office, it has a strong friends group largely made up of parents, who have donated £6,000 and bought items including two multimedia computers. Strong musical traditions see children learning the violin and cello supported by Northamptonshire Music School and regular drama productions, most recently Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach. A soccer team competes in the local schools league.
