Background:
Crick Primary School was built in 1916. It is situated in a 'pleasant' position in the centre of the village. The accommodation was extended in the 1960s and in 1974 and outdoor facilities now include a playground and a garden with a pond/pergola and paddock area. French, art and craft, winter sports, football, netball, computer club, rounders, recorder, cricket, choir, athletics, chess and sewing are all offered as extra-curricular activities. The school 'welcomes' community links and participates in a number of charity fundraising projects. May day is a very 'special' event within the school and the children take part in maypole dancing, the crowning of the May queen and a procession around the village. Crick Primary works in conjunction with external agencies and parents to meet the needs of all pupils. It has a variety of clubs run by teachers and outside agencies at lunchtime and after school. The school aims to provide a challenging and enjoyable learning experiences for all its children.
