Background:
The present school has opened in 1972 and accommodation comprises five classrooms and a large hall in the main building and a classroom, library and ICT suite in a new extension. Outdoor facilities include a large field, two playgrounds, a pond and environmental areas. The school's 'strengths' lie in science, art and music and pupils have the opportunity to learn woodwind, brass and string instruments. Netball, cricket, football, athletics, cross-country and swimming are offered both within and outside of the curriculum. There are 'strong' links with the local church and village community and funds are raised for a variety of charities each year. Children with special educational needs (SEN) have individual education plans and are supported by a SEN co-ordinator, part-time SEN teacher and four learning support assistants. An after-school club is run on site until 5.45pm.
