Background:
The school was opened in March 1946 and the reason for its foundation and existence remains fundamentally the same today as it was in those early post-war years. The school has seven classes and all are made up of children of mixed abilities. It has recently installed three interactive whiteboards. The school aims to provide a wide range of additional activities including clubs, trips and residential experiences. Children also have the opportunity to learn to play violin. The school was awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for its support with all pupils. The school aims to create an atmosphere permeated by the Gospel spirit of love, forgiveness, healing and reconciliation.
