Background:
Overstone Primary School is a popular school draws pupils from the village and the Eastern districts of Northampton. The school is much smaller than other primary schools. It has four classes for pupils from Reception to year 6. The school is set in the little village of Overstone on the main road. The school has strong links with the local church of St Nicholas. It has a good after-school provision with a wide range of activities offered for its children including: football, netball, basketball, tennis, cross-country and hockey etc. In achieving its Active Mark it entered into a partnership with many outside providers, including Northampton Rugby Club. Its commitment to the Arts has gained us the Arts Mark Silver Award, which again has driven its links with the community, including the Overstone singers. The school is a little, rural school with a big heart.
