Background:
Built in 1914, Woodford Halse developed from being a council school, through secondary modern to its present incarnation as a primary in 1971. The school is proud of the variety of sports on offer. The 'extensive' grounds are home to an annual cross country race, involving 400 children from across the county. A nature reserve is being developed and will include a pond. Community links are important to the school and each year children and staff raise money for charity.
