Background:

Situated in the heart of rural Northamptonshire, this 'popular' small school, accommodated in a Victorian stone building, is a member of a cluster of seven village schools which participate in educational and sporting activities together. The school is 'well known for its caring atmosphere and its work within the community' with which it has 'extensive' links such as making use of the local secondary school's resources, including swimming facilities. Children are encouraged to raise money for national and international charities. 'Well supported' chess, hockey and craft clubs are held after school, and some pupils take part in competitive swimming. Pupils can also receive recorder and violin lessons.
