Background:

Spratton C of E Primary School has been at the centre of the local community since 1849 when the village received a grant to build a school to accommodate 150 children. Today the school consist of two areas within the same building. In addition there are modern extension houses such as- the two infant classes, hall and offices. It is also fortunate to be set in spacious grounds with a playground area and school field overlooking the local countryside. The curriculum offered at school consist of two phases which is the foundation stage followed by the national curriculum. The school is connected to the internet and each class has access to two computers. It also has an ICT suite of 15 computers for whole class teaching. All the computers in the school are networked together to ensure commonality of approach. There is wide range of opportunities such as netball, football, basketball, tennis and cross-country to enhance the learning of pupils.
